Saturday night saw a couple of odd results in the NBA, so we can only hope things “normalize” tonight as another week comes to a close with 8 games being played. For Sunday’s NBA mega parlay, I am targeting a totals bet, an underdog on the money line and a team to cover the spread.

Head over to our NBA predictions for picks on Sunday’s 8-game slate, but now let’s get into today’s NBA mega parlay.

Over 220 in Suns vs Knicks (-110)

Hornets ML (+220)

Nets -3 (-112)

Parlay odds: +1056

Over 220 in Suns vs Knicks (-110)

The Suns’ 6-game winning streak will be put to the test tonight at Madison Square Garden. They’re coming off a big win at Memphis on Friday, despite not having Kevin Durant in the lineup. KD is expected to return tonight, which adds to their offensive capability. They have been on fire during the win streak, averaging 126.2 points per game and a big reason for that has been their 28.7 assists per game, which would rank 3rd in the NBA for the whole season.

New York prefers a slower pace generally, but can respond with big scoring nights when necessary. We’ve seen the Knicks score 116+ points in 3 of their last 5 outings overall, and they have the 13th-best offensive rating in the NBA. The head-to-head meetings between the sides have produced 4 overs in the last 6, with an average of 219.3 points per game over the last 10. Right now, the Suns are relying on outscoring opponents to get wins, and there’s no doubt in my mind that will be their strategy in tonight’s game. The over has cashed in 5 of their last 6, and I think backing the points is the way to go.

Hornets ML vs ORL Magic (+220)

The Magic are off to an unexpected start to the season and are ranked 2nd behind only Boston in the Eastern Conference standings. They beat the Celtics at home on Friday for their 6th straight victory, but this run of good form can’t last forever. The Charlotte Hornets have been a tricky opponent for the Magic, especially in home games, with 10 of the last 13 meetings going the visitors’ way.

The team once owned by Michael Jordan heads into tonight’s contest riding a 2-game win streak, and they too beat the Boston Celtics a couple of days ago in OT. LaMelo Ball has been playing extremely well – he is averaging 30.1 points and almost 9 assists per game on 47% shooting from the field and 42% from three. The Hornets have also introduced Miles Bridges back into the lineup, and he had 33 points in the win over Washington. They’ll get better as time goes on, and having the best player on the court in this game could be the deciding factor in their favor. I’ll take Charlotte on the money line.

Nets -3 vs CHI Bulls (-112)

Two teams still searching for their identity this season will meet up in Brooklyn tonight as the Chicago Bulls come to town for a clash with the Nets. Both sides could be without a pair of key players as Chicago has Zach LaVine and Alex Caruso listed as game-time decisions, while the Nets will be without Ben Simmons and Cam Thomas, who have been out for a while. I still fancy the Nets, though, as Chicago is just a hot mess right now, especially on offense as they’ve averaged just 101.8 points per game over their last 5 games.

DeMar DeRozan is clearly unhappy with the situation and although he is being a pro and getting the job done, you can just tell that he is looking forward to being moved to another team. The atmosphere around the Bulls is just toxic at this point. They’ve lost 5 straight on the road and are 7-13 SU in the last 20 head-to-head against Brooklyn. The Nets have been reliable on the spread, covering in 5 of their last 6 at home and in 11 of their last 15 overall. They should be able to win this one by more than 3 points.
