Playoff positioning is on the line this Saturday with a few really big matchups in the NBA. It doesn’t get any bigger than Warriors vs Lakers, and I have made an effort to include that game in my NBA mega parlay. Two more teams made it into my bet, continues reading below to see which ones.
Also, be sure to visit our NBA picks page for predictions on the side and total for Saturday’s games.
Now let’s dive into my bet!
Hornets ML (+385)
Lakers -3.5 (-108)
Kings -3 (-112)
Parlay odds: +1668
Charlotte Hornets ML over Philadelphia 76ers (+385)
Although the Hornets are playing on a 2nd night of a back-to-back, this is a opportunity for them to get a rare win against a Philadelphia 76ers team that’s struggling to stay afloat. The Sixers are just 1-5 SU in their last 6 games, plus they have covered the spread at home in just 1 of their last 12 outings. In 3 of their last 4 games they failed to crack the 100 point mark, and Tobias Harris is averaging just 12.3 points per game during that stretch.
Charlotte is 2-2 SU over its last 4 games and also a decent 3-4 SU in their last 7 games with no rest. Pride should also kick in a bit, as the Hornets have already lost 3 games to the 76ers this season; getting swept is something they definitely want to avoid. It might not look pretty, but I believe the Hornets have a shot at coming out of Philadelphia with a win.
Los Angeles Lakers -3.5 over Golden State Warriors (-108)
There might be value in backing the Warriors to win as underdogs, but I’m just not ready to trust them with both Stephen Curry and Draymond Green listed as game-time decisions. The Lakers left a lot to be desired in their loss to Sacramento a couple of nights ago; I’m expecting a response at home, where they are 24-11 SU this season. This is the perfect opportunity to grab hold of 9th place in the West, which would guarantee home-court advantage in a potential play-in tournament game against Golden State.
Anthony Davis has been a problem for the Warriors in both of those meetings earlier in the season. He is averaging 28 points and 14 rebounds while shooting over 51% in those games. The lack of size will bother Golden State, just like it has bothered Minnesota and OKC in games against the Lakers. LA has the superior head-to-head record at 8-3 SU/ATS in the last 11 meetings. I think the Lakers continue the solid run with another triumph.
Sacramento Kings -3 over New York Knicks (-112)
To close out the parlay I have Sacramento covering at home against the Knicks. The Kings are finally finding some consistency, especially from 3-point land — with 18 and 19 threes made in their last 2 games. They have won 5 of 7 games, leaping over the Suns and Mavericks all the way to the 6th seed — which would mean a direct entry into the postseason.
Meanwhile, the Knicks are also in a battle for 4th place in the East. They have had a slightly softer schedule this past week, and the return of OG Anunoby has sparked wins over Philadelphia and Portland. But they are still missing their best player in Julius Randle; it’ll be hard to counter Domantas Sabonis down low without the big fella in the lineup. Sacramento has put up 120, 129, 131 and 130 points in 4 of its last 5 games. I can’t see the Knicks matching that on the road.
