Houston Rockets ML over New York Knicks (+190)
The Rockets dominated the Knicks in the first meeting of the season, 109-97 at home, and they’ll look to sweep the regular-season series as the 2 teams meet up once again at MSG on Monday. Alperen Sengun returns to the lineup for Houston, and without him it hasn’t been a pleasant experience over the past 2 games for the Rockets, with the Nets and Grizzlies both beating them. When Sengun plays the Rockets are 32-14 this season, and he should cause havoc down low against a Knicks team that has a very thin front line. He recorded 25 points and 14 rebounds in the first meeting while shooting 11-for-12 inside the arc.
Meanwhile, the Knicks just suffered a tough home loss to the Lakers in what was arguably their most disappointing performance in 2025. Both Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns had games to forget, and as a team the Knicks were ice-cold from three-point land. Josh Hart, who had a triple-double in that loss, is questionable here with a knee injury. OG Anunoby could also join him on the sidelines, as he left the game early against LA due to a foot issue. With that much uncertainty around the team, I think the Rockets could definitely pull off the upset here. In road games, Houston is one of the most reliable teams in the league, having won 17 of 25 games while covering the spread 16 times. I like their chances of pulling off the upset to kickstart today’s NBA parlay picks.
Minnesota Timberwolves -4.5 over Sacramento Kings (-112)
The Sacramento Kings made headlines by trading away De’Aaron Fox over the weekend. In return, they get Zach LaVine, who they can re-pair with DeMar DeRozan from their days spent in a Chicago Bulls uniform. The move is a bit puzzling considering the Kings now don’t have a pure point guard to handle the playmaking responsibilities. It might take them some time to implement LaVine into the proceedings, and because of this, I have them losing at Minnesota on Monday.
The Timberwolves did just have their 5-game win streak snapped by Washington at home, which wasn’t a good look, but that was mainly due to Anthony Edwards not playing. Ant Man is expected back here, and he is averaging 30.1 points per game over his last 9 outings and 32.3 points in 3 meetings against Sacramento. The Kings simply don’t have an answer for him at the moment, so look for Edwards to have a 4th game of at least 30 points in his last 5 outings. Sacramento is just 1-5 ATS in 6 games, while they have won just once in their last 6 road games. I’m confident the Timberwolves can win and cover here.
Oklahoma City Thunder -10 over Milwaukee Bucks (-112)
I am willing to bet that the OKC players have had this game circled on their calendars ever since they lost that NBA Cup Final back in mid-December to the Bucks. The 81 points scored in that game was the Thunder’s worst offensive performance of the season by far, and they will look to make amends in front of their home crowd on Monday night. With the way they’ve played lately, there should be a good chance of that happening here. The Thunder come into this game after scoring 144 points against the Kings, recording their 16th win in 20 games. MVP candidate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ended January averaging 35.6 points per game, but it’s not just him tearing up the league at the moment. Andrew Wiggins was the high point man with 41 in the win over Sacramento, so SGA is getting a lot more help than people realize.
The Bucks will be playing on the 2nd night of a back-to-back after an unflattering home loss to the Memphis Grizzlies last night in which they gave up 132 points. When it comes to games with no rest, the Bucks are just 4-4 on the year, with their last 2 losses coming against sub-par teams in Atlanta and Portland. Bobby Portis is also questionable to play, which would be a massive handicap for a team that’s struggled to get points off the bench this season. Milwaukee is just 1-4 in its last 5 games, allowing an average of 133.7 points per game in their last 3, which is the worst mark in the entire NBA. OKC has covered in 5 straight against East teams, and with the hunger they’ll likely have to make a statement tonight, I’m taking them to win by double digits to close out tonight’s NBA parlay.
