With Super Bowl Sunday in the books, the attention now shifts to the NBA and we’ve got ourselves a huge Monday night with 10 games being played. With so much action to get excited for, I’ve pieced together my 3 best bets in the form of an NBA parlay at +968 odds! Let’s dive in, while you can also find out our NBA picks for each of today’s big matchups.

Cleveland Cavaliers -8.5 over Minnesota Timberwolves (-110)

Apart from a couple of role players dealing with minor knocks, the Cavaliers are pretty much at full strength and are currently on a roll, having won 6 of 7 games. At home, they are 14-3 in their last 17, while against Western Conference opponents they’ve lost only 3 times in their last 18. As we get close to the All-Star Weekend, it’s important for the Cavs to keep their foot on the gas as even a minor losing streak could result in the Celtics coming within a couple of games of that #1 seed in the East. We’ve seen some improvements by Cleveland defensively, as their last 3 opponents are shooting 34.9% from three compared to their season average of 36.5%.

Minnesota has been solid on the road, going 15-11 ATS/SU, but they’re playing a Cavs team that’s been one of the most consistent home teams in the NBA at 24-4 SU and 18-10 ATS. With the Timberwolves potentially being without their best player in Anthony Edwards, who is dealing with a hip injury, I just don’t think Minnesota will be able to keep this a close game. I’m taking the Cavs to win by double digits to start our NBA parlay.

Miami Heat ML over Boston Celtics (+188)

For the upset of the night, we are headed to South Beach where the Miami Heat host the Boston Celtics in what is arguably the best game on the slate. Having played each other in both the 2023 and 2024 postseason, there is history between these 2 teams so we can expect a highly intense game at the Kaseya Center here. Getting rid of Jimmy Butler will be a relief for the Heat, as they’ve had that situation hanging over their heads for quite some time now. In exchange, they got a capable 2-way player in Andrew Wiggins, but more importantly, the distraction is no longer there and they can solely focus on playing basketball.

Meanwhile, the Celtics are unsurprisingly the favorites here, but despite the 5-1 run in their last 6 games, they’ve not been as dominant. This team relies a fair bit on their perimeter shot to win games and they might run into issues against a Miami Heat team that’s holding opponents to just 34.7% efficiency from downtown in their last 3 games. On top of that, Jrue Holiday has already been ruled out due to injury, while Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are both questionable due to knocks sustained in the win over the Knicks this past weekend.

Boston is on a dominant 8-1 run in head-to-head meetings and they also have an ongoing 6-game win streak in games played at the Kaseya Center. All win streaks must come to an end at some point, and I like the Heat to pull it off tonight as the next leg of our NBA parlay.

Celebrate Luka Doncic’s LA debut with our Jazz vs Lakers Same Game Parlay picks at +436 odds!

Utah Jazz +13 over Los Angeles Lakers (-106)

The stage is set for Luka Doncic to finally make his Lakers debut, as the team in purple and gold hosts the Utah Jazz on Monday night. The new-look Lakers are massive favorites at home, and although they are in fine form, I am of the opinion that this number is a bit too high considering the Jazz were able to hold their ground in both meetings so far this season. LA won those 2 games, but they were decided by just 1 and 6 points, which should make for an interesting game on Monday.

Utah is playing virtually without any pressure right now, at 12-39 SU they are headed towards the lottery and winning games just isn’t a priority. However, this team still has a lot of pride and they won’t come to LA waiving the white flag. Despite losing their last game by 20 to the Clippers, the Jazz do have 2 wins against Orlando and Golden State in their last 4 games before that, plus in the 2 losses against Indiana and Phoenix they kept both games very close, falling by 1 and 8 points in the end.

All the pressure is on Doncic and the Lakers in this game, and while I’m sure they’ll end up winning this game, I feel like it might take some time for the duo of LeBron James and Doncic to figure out how to co-exist out there on the court. I’ll take the Jazz and the massive spread here.
