I’ve landed a total of 5 NBA parlays after just 2 weeks since the new season has gotten underway. Monday brings us another massive 12-game night, and I’ve gone in-depth and picked out my 3 favorite bets for this evening’s slate.
Head over to our NBA predictions page for picks on the spread and total for Monday’s action, but without further ado, let’s get into it.
Bucks -5.5 (-108)
Clippers/Knicks Over 227 (-110)
Timberwolves ML (+142)
Parlay odds: +800
Milwaukee Bucks -5.5 (-108) over Brooklyn Nets
It’s been a up and down experience for the Milwaukee Bucks so far. They’re 3-2 to start the season and without a road win, but I really like their chances tonight against the Brooklyn Nets. Giannis and co. are favored by nearly 6 points, which seems adequate considering they’ve won 8 of the last 10 meetings against this team and have covered the spread 7 times during that stretch.
Brooklyn is off to a rough start at home, losing both of their games against Boston and Cleveland. Two very important rotation players, Cameron Johnson and Nicolas Claxton, won’t be available, and if you want to beat this Bucks team, you have to be at full strength. The absence of Claxton in particular will hurt them as Giannis Antetokounmpo is averaging 35 points and 14 rebounds against them over the last 5 meetings. Following their win over New York, I feel confident that Milwaukee can get the job done here.
Los Angeles Clippers vs New York Knicks Over 227 (-110)
The stage is finally set for James Harden to make his LA Clippers debut, and it couldn’t be any bigger than Madison Square Garden. It’s been 3 days since LA last played as they embark on a 3-game road trip. I imagine it will take some time for the Beard to gel with his new teammates, so it might be a better idea to focus on the totals market for the time being. We just saw 255 points in the Clippers’ last game against the Lakers, landing the over for the 14th time in their last 19 games overall.
That game against the Lakers was technically a road game, so the over is now 6-1 in their last 7 away from home. It’s a similar story in their visits to MSG with 5 of the last 6 all cashing on the over. The Knicks have had some early season turmoil, in particular Julius Randle has struggled shooting the ball, but Jalen Brunson is on a roll having dropped 45 points on the Bucks. These two teams are averaging 230.6 points per game between them in the last 10 meetings, and with so much offensive talent on both rosters, I think backing the over is the way to go here.
Minnesota Timberwolves ML (+142) over Boston Celtics
And to finish off the parlay, I have the Minnesota Timberwolves taking down the Boston Celtics as the two teams square off at Target Center. The visitors have been on a roll since the season has started, but this could very well be their toughest assignment yet. Anthony Edwards and his Wolves are unbeaten in 3 home games as they’ve already taken down both Denver and Miami in this building, plus they’re coming into this one following a 28-point win over Utah.
For some odd reason, Jayson Tatum is shooting just 1-for-14 from downtown in the last 2 meetings. Derrick White missed the previous game for Boston due to personal reasons, it’s unclear if he will play. Boston does have a solid track record in head-to-head meetings, but all streaks must come to an end at some point, I think it’s time someone finally takes them down. At +142 odds, we are getting a really solid price for a team that is yet to lose a home game this season.
