It’s one of the most exciting nights in the Major League Baseball season. The best of the best will take the field in Arlington, Texas tonight as the American League looks to win for the 10th time across the last 11 MLB All-Star Games. But the National League has built a very strong lineup this year, so it’s anybody’s game. I dove into the MLB player prop market and found 2 plus-money odds plays that you should consider locking in before the game tonight! Let’s dive into the best MLB All-Star Game player prop bets to make for today, while you can also find out our MLB picks for tonight’s matchup as well as all the big games throughout the season.
Bobby Witt Jr. to record a hit (+145)
Odds available at Caesars Sportsbook at time of publishing.
The Kansas City shortstop has had a truly incredible year. Enough to put him into the AL MVP conversation too. Witt Jr. finished the first half of the season with a .323 batting average and .324 xBA while ranking in the 90th percentile or better in nearly every hitting category. Even with these numbers, it wasn’t good enough to get voted into the starting role. He will replace Gunnar Henderson at shortstop after Henderson gets 2 at-bats, and I think that will leave Witt Jr. with 2 at-bats to get a hit. Based on his performance last night, it’s clear that Witt Jr. wants to put on a show during this MLB all-star break. He has plenty of momentum after last night and he will continue to be a crowd favorite. If he gets 2 at-bats, I like his chances of recording a base hit because of his speed and power.

Jose Ramirez to be the All-Star Game MVP (+2500)
Odds available at Bet365 at time of publishing.
The MLB All-Star Game MVP is incredibly hard to predict since there will be so many players who participate tonight. But, it’s still a fun market to take a chance on. First of all, I narrowed it down to the American League players since I believe the AL will win tonight. I also ruled out a pitcher because only 2 pitchers have won the All-Star Game MVP since 2000. Next, we’re looking for a player with power. Hitting a home run is usually the key to winning the MVP award, and since he got his home run swing ready last night, I landed on Jose Ramirez. The Cleveland star has participated in 5 other All-Star Games, and he’s 5-for-9 with a double in those games. J-Ram thrives under the bright lights of the MLB All-Star Game, so between his career numbers in the Midsummer Classic and the pop he showed last night, I sprinkled some on Ramirez to be the All-Star Game MVP.
