Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write up my plays for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief write-ups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!
I pride myself on being as transparent as they come. My MLB record from last season and this season is listed in my bio. In the regular season, I recorded 255 wins and 166 losses for a gain of +35.8 units. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite play for Game 2 of the ALDS!

Bryce Harper has been the best hitter in the postseason. He is batting .419 with 13 hits and 8 runs. The bottom of the order has been sensational for the Philadelphia Phillies. Unlikely heroes Brandon Marsh and Bryson Stott will get starts tonight against right-handed pitcher Joe Musgrove. Harper is a career 3-for-14 off Musgrove, but all 3 hits have come in the last 2 seasons.
Musgrove has been extremely impressive this postseason himself. In 13.0 innings pitched, he has an ERA of 1.38 against 2 of the top offenses in Major League Baseball in the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets. The Phillies bats are hot, and it’ll be tough for Musgrove to replicate his recent performances. Musgrove faced this Phillies squad back in June and was hit hard. He allowed 6 earned runs on 7 hits — including Harper reordering a hit and a run.
Last night when we backed Gleyber Torres on this same prop, we saw how it worked out for us. He had an RBI single, which was his only hit of the game. Harper is more than capable of recording 2 total bases, but this is a safer play with how loaded the Phillies’ offense is in front and behind him.
