Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write up my plays for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief write-ups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!
I pride myself on being as transparent as they come. My MLB record from last season and this season is listed in my bio. In the regular season, I recorded 254 wins and 166 losses for a gain of +34.8 units. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite play for Game 2 of the ALDS!

Torres is an integral part of this Yankees lineup. New York manager Aaron Boone moved Torres to leadoff instead of hitting 3rd in Game 3 of the ALDS against the Guardians. Torres has registered 3 hits and 4 runs this postseason, including 2 runs scored in their Game 5 clinching win in the last series.
Hitting in front of AL MVP Aaron Judge is an important job. Pitchers have no choice but to give you good pitches to hit so they don’t let Judge hit with runners on. Torres is no stranger to left-handed stud Framber Valdez, having gone 2-for-8 in his career with a 3-run homer back in 2019. Right-handed batters are hitting .o37 points higher than left-handers against Valdez and makeup 79% of his walks.
Torres has recorded a hit in 59% of his games this season. If he can get on early, look for sluggers Judge, Anthony Rizzo, or Giancarlo Stanton to drive him home and cash this prop.
