Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write up my plays for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief write-ups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!
I pride myself on being as transparent as they come. My MLB record from last season and this season is listed in my bio. In the regular season, I recorded 251 wins and 164 losses for a gain of +34 units. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite play for day 6 of the MLB Divisional Series.

One game is on tap for Monday night and it’s an elimination game for both teams. The 99-win New York Yankees get to host this one against the young and feisty Cleveland Guardians. We’re going with a different prop for this one; Josh Donaldson of the New York Yankees to go hitless.
Donaldson has made his mark on the defensive end for the Yankees this season but has failed to revitalize his once remarkable power. Donaldson won the 2015 AL MVP with the Toronto Blue Jays with 41 home runs and 123 runs batted in. That Donaldson is long gone. He’s hitting .222 this season and was 2/17 in October coming into this series. He recorded a hit in his 1st at-bat last night then proceeded to strike out twice and ground out to 3rd in the 8th inning.
It’s tough to analyze what the Guardians pitching will look like for this one, but we can assume it will be a bullpen game. Aaron Civale will be the starter and could see Donaldson at least two times. The 36-year-old is 1-for-9 in his career against Civale with his only hit coming last season when Donaldson was a Twin. We’re certainly going to see all-star reliever Emmanuel Clase for the Guardians. Clase is regarded as the top closer in baseball and Donaldson has failed to record a hit in three at-bats against the righty. James Karinchak will appear in this one, as well. Karinchak has a 2.08 ERA this season with right-handed batters hitting .194 against him. Donaldson saw Karinchak in Game 2 and was issued a free pass but has failed to record a hit in 4 at-bats.
Donaldson is 3-for-12 so far in this series with 2 hits coming in Game 1. We can expect at least four at-bats from the former MVP and I feel confident in the Guardians bullpen to silence him.
