We’ve got 2 MLB playoff games today starting with the Atlanta Braves visiting the Los Angeles Dodgers at 5:08pm ET on TBS. When I’m facing a situation like this, I always get a bet down on the first game. Never wait until the second game to bet because that’s dumb. It just doesn’t make sense. Luckily for us, with MLB player props, there has to be something we can feel good about. We’re talking a ton of bets here. I think I found one with our boy Charlie Morton.
If you’re on Twitter, you need to follow me right now. That’s the best advice I can give you and probably the smartest thing you will do all day. Once lineups are announced for this game, there is a chance for opportunity to knock. You should be there to answer it.

We’ve got MLB player prop choices to make people. At DraftKings you can get Morton at 4.5 for -145. That’s pretty expensive but if you go to BetMGM, you can have 5.5 at +120. Personally, I am going to wimp out on this one and go 4.5 at DraftKings. Just know that if you take the 5.5, I respect you more than anything.
Charlie Morton has been a beast down the stretch for the Braves. In his last 25 starts, he’s hit this number 21 times including 2 starts against the Dodgers. One of the starts he didn’t get home was on October 3rd where he only threw 43 pitches against the Mets. On top of the recent form, he’s hit this number in his last 7 postseason starts so he’s clean.
He gets a Dodgers’ side that has struck out more than any other MLB team so far in the playoffs. Whiff boys is term used on the streets to describe a team like this. On top of their regulars, Morton will likely face Walker Buehler a couple times which is a bonus. Buehler struck out 45 times in 69 at bats so he’s a welcome sight in the batter’s box. I think Morton gets home on this number.
