It’s Sunday and we need some action today. That’s just a fact. Typically on a Sunday I like to grab a MLB player prop for one of the early games, then add a little action as the day goes on if something pops up. That’s if I even need it. Sometimes you find a bet that is so good it can just carry you through the entire day. That’s what I think may have happened today. The books are disrespecting one of the greatest pitcher strikeout prop guys in the game today. The best part is, he’s playing at 1:07pm ET. We won’t have to wait long for this one.

Brad Keller over 3.5 strikeouts (-120)

We all know I can’t quit Brad Keller. He’s my guy. He usually pulls a very fair number in the MLB player prop market and he did that today at DraftKings. I literally couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw 3.5 -120. Usually he’s a 4.5 plus money guy or a 3.5 -150+ guy. This just feels too good to be true so I didn’t even wait for FanDuel or BetMGM.
The thing about Keller is he’s priced like a bum but he really isn’t one. He’s not a double digit strikeout guy but in his last 15 starts he’s gone over 3.5 Ks in 13 of them. He’s thrown 90+ pitches in all 15 starts but one and has even gone 7+ innings in 2 of his last 3 games. We need guys to be physically on the mound to strike people out. Keller is usually out there for awhile on his day to work.
The only real issue is the Royals play the Toronto Blue Jays today and they don’t strike out much. In fact, only one team (Houston Astros) has struck out less than they have this season. Still, that’s a reason to not take an opposing pitcher total at 5.5 or higher. Toronto still strikes out as Mike Minor just whiffed 6 of them yesterday. I think Keller can get home on this low number today.
