Saturday is here and if we play our cards right we’ll all be in front of a television watching the Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays at 6:10pm ET. Why are we doing that? Because I think I may have the greatest MLB player prop bet in the history of MLB player prop bets. I know I’ve said this before but this time I’m even more serious than I was in all the other times combined. Could this one lose? Of course, but I’m betting that it doesn’t.

Now we all know to shop around and I normally tell you which book I think is the best move but today is different. It’s a matter of how much of a Billy Badass you want to be with a MLB player prop. DraftKings has 4.5 +105 and FanDuel has 5.5 +156. I’m going with DraftKings but you do you.
Yarbrough is enjoying the finest strikeout stretch of his life right now. Little league included. Over his last 10 games, he’s struck out at least 5 guys in 7 of them. In 2 of those games he whiffed 4 batters so it’s not like he bummed out. Tonight he gets the benefit of Lance Barksdale behind the plate, who is a notorious strikeout guy. In the last game he umped, Touki Toussaint (fantastic name) fanned 10 Phillies. See what I’m saying.
The only thing I don’t 100% love is the fact that the Yarbrough has the Boston Red Sox today. In 7 innings against Boston this season he’s struck out only 4 of them. The thing is, something is up with the Sox right now. They’ve been outscored 20-4 in the last two days. Last night they struck out 12 times. Over the last week they’ve whiffed 58 times in 218 at-bats, which is seventh-worst in MLB over that stretch. I think we may have found gold with this MLB player prop.
