Happy Sunday! It’s been a long week of baseball and we have a solid slate of MLB games today, but there’s one player prop that I really like.

The Orioles have been fighting to get out of last place in the AL East, but that won’t happen if their current strikeout rate continues. Baltimore has the 4th-most strikeouts in the last 7 days and the 6th-most strikeouts in the last 15 days. They will face Corey Kluber in Sunday’s matinee matchup against the Rays, and this will be the second time the Orioles have faced him this season. The former Cy Young winner made his season debut against the Orioles and allowed 3 hits with no runs and 5 strikeouts in 4.2 innings.
Since that outing, Kluber has recorded at least 5 strikeouts in 3 of his 6 outings. However, he has racked up at least 6 strikeouts in 3 of his last 4 starts. Kluber has changed the way he has pitched in his recent outings as the Rays veteran has thrown his cutter more in his last 3 starts than any other time this season. It’s the opposite for his curveball, as he is throwing it just 20% of the time now. His curve was one of his biggest weaknesses since opponents had a .305 xBA against that pitch.
With Kluber’s recent adjustments, back him to record at least 5 strikeouts in Baltimore this afternoon.
