Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write up my plays for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief writeups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!
I pride myself on being as transparent as they come. My MLB record from last season and this season is listed in my bio. On the year, I’ve recorded 116 wins and 91 losses for a gain of +19 units. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite play for Tuesday.
Luis Garcia (HOU) over 15.5 outs (+110)
Line available at BetMGM Sportsbook at time of publishing.
The fade against the Los Angeles Angels continues. We unfortunately we’re burned on a similar prop last week when we took Tyler Wells of the Baltimore Orioles under 2.5 earned runs. He allowed a 3 run home run to superstar Mike Trout in the 3rd inning. Before that, we took Jordan Lyles to pitch at least 6 innings which he did. Tonight, we’re backing Houston Astros righty Luis Garcia.
Garcia has limited his walks which has given him the opportunity to go deeper into games. In his last 5 games, he’s only walked 5 batters. During that stretch, he’s gone over 5.1 innings pitched in 4 of them.
Batters like Shohei Ohtani and Jared Walsh do have great numbers versus Garcia but he’s limited this lineup before. Earlier this season, he pitched into the 6th inning.
To get this at +odds instead of our usual juicy odds is a no-brainer bet for me. Garcia should have no problem coasting through the bottom of this Angels batting lineup.
