Cody Bellinger (CHC) over 1.5 hits + runs + RBIs (-130)
Line available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.
Cody Bellinger has returned to greatness. Following a disastrous final 3 years as a Los Angeles Dodger, Bellinger was welcomed with open arms to Chicago. The slugger ranks in the top 5 in batting average and on-base plus slugging percentage. He took over in July with a .397 batting average against RHP and has not slowed down since.
Bellinger will be met by all-star Mitch Keller tonight in Pittsburgh. Keller is familiar with the Cubs’ offense as the two have battled in the NL Central. Not only has Bellinger registered a couple of at-bats against Keller, but Ian Happ and Dansby Swanson have also done the same and Bellinger will most likely be in the middle of them in today’s lineup. Happ and Swanson have raked against Keller and will look to find the basepaths for Bellinger who has an RBI in 5 of his last 6 games. Left-handed hitters have had success against Keller all season long. He is allowing a .266 batting average and has given up 13 of his 19 home runs to southpaws this season.
Look for Bellinger to extend his hit streak to 5 games and cash this prop for the 5th straight time. Wind will be blowing out by first pitch which has all the makings of a Belly bomb.

Framber Valdez (HOU) under 6.5 hits allowed (-125)
Line available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.
Here lies one of the worst teams in the league against left-handed pitching, the Detroit Tigers. It’s only gotten worse for the Tigers, who rank in the bottom 10 in batting average, slugging, and wRC+ against LHP. In August they are hitting .198 and striking out at a top-10 rate. This is a perfect “get right” start for Framber Valdez who has allowed 15 runs in his last 3 starts since his no-hitter.
The Astros were just embarrassed by the Boston Red Sox yesterday, when they allowed 17 runs and starter J.P. France failed to make it out of the 3rd inning. It’s not unusual for the Astros to need Valdez to go deep tonight. He’s pitched into the 7th inning in more than half of his starts this season due to his 53% ground-ball rate. He can fly through this Tigers’ order that in the top 15 in ground-ball% to LHP.
We’re getting this number because of how deep Valdez is projected to go into the game and his prior outings. But his last outing in which he gave up 10 hits came against the Seattle Mariners, who are crushing LHP this month. Expect Valdez to bounce back and move this MLB player prop bet to a 65% hit rate this season.
