The future AL CY Young award winner pitches tonight and we want action on him. Let’s dive into my best MLB player prop bets for Saturday, August 24, as I look to build on my 45-26 record this season. Also don’t forget that you can find out our experts’ MLB picks for today’s matchups.

Tarik Skubal (DET) Under 4.5 hits allowed (-110)

Line available at BetMGM Sportsbook at time of publishing.

If you’re looking for a way to back future AL CY Young award winner Tarik Skubal on Saturday Night against the woeful Chicago White Sox, his under on his hits allowed prop is the right way to go. Skubal has been near unhittable this season with a 2.83 xERA, .211 XBA, and a 30% K rate. He matches up with a White Sox team that has been a mess when facing LHP in the last 30 days. That includes a .188 batting average – the worst in the majors during that span. Their strikeout rate against LHP isn’t much better. They rank in the bottom 10, striking out at a 27.6% clip.

Like all season, Skubal has been dominant in his last few starts. That includes allowing just three hits over six innings against the New York Yankees on Sunday Night Baseball and holding a Seattle Mariners team to six hits combined in back-to-back games.

This will be the second time Skubal faces off against the White Sox this season. His first outing came on Opening Day when Skubal allowed three hits and struck out six batters across six innings. I expect another surreal outing by Skubal on the road with the wind blowing in.
