Welcome to another day in Major League Baseball. It’s an exciting day on the diamond with a lot of great series starting today, including the Dodgers taking on the Phillies, the Royals visiting the Cardinals and the Braves facing the Diamondbacks in the desert. I’ve found 2 MLB player props for tonight’s slate, with one at plus-money odds! Our player props experts are currently on a 13-4 run, so let’s keep that momentum going! You can also find out our MLB picks for today’s games.
Zack Wheeler (PHI) to record a win (+140)
Available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing
Zack Wheeler has made 10 starts at home and has earned the win on 6 occasions. In the 4 outings he did not get the win, Wheeler had a 2.66 ERA. The ace has been as consistent as they come when he pitches at home since he owns a 1.76 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and a .175 batting average in 10 starts. Tonight, he will face a Dodgers lineup that is still missing a star player in Mookie Betts. Los Angeles is hitting .245 in the last 14 days and the biggest weakness they have is the bottom half of their order. Following Shohei Ohtani, Will Smith, Freddie Freeman and Teoscar Hernandez at the top of the lineup, the rest of the order hasn’t lived up to expectations. That should give Wheeler an advantage once he gets past the first 4 hitters. I like Philadelphia’s chances of scoring against Bobby Miller, and since Wheeler is phenomenal at home, this MLB player prop bet has a lot of value at plus-money odds.

Jake Irvin (WSH) under 2.5 earned runs allowed (-110)
Available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing
I am very surprised to see this price so reasonable. Irvin is coming off the best start of his career as he threw 8 innings and allowed just 1 hit while striking out 8. Funny enough, that outing was against the same team he’s facing tonight. That fantastic outing extended his streak of allowing less than 3 earned runs to 3 straight starts, but looking at a bigger sample size, he’s accomplished that feat in 11 of his last 13 outings. Plus, even though Irvin just had a career-best start at home, he’s actually been better on the road this season. His ERA drops to 2.35 and he’s allowing just a .183 batting average in 11 starts away from Nationals Park. He’s allowed 2 earned runs or less in 5 of his 7 starts on the road, so I’m backing the trend once again on Tuesday.
