MLB player props: Charlie Morton Over 4.5 Hits Allowed (-130)

I’m going back to fading Morton today. Morton is a 41-year-old who has allowed 5+ hits in both starts this year and in 15 of his last 17 dating back to last year. This line feels like an overreaction to Ketel Marte hitting the IL after suffering a left hamstring strain over the weekend. Arizona has other great bats, and they should have a nice outing with Meatball Morton on the mound.

Morton has allowed 5+ hits in his last three starts against the Diamondbacks, and I expect more of the same. Additionally, the right-hander is worse on the road, and this game will be played in Arizona. All signs point to him having a rough start. The only concern is he gets walk happy and can’t locate, but I’ll take my chances.
