Mike Trout (LAA) over 2.5 hits + runs + RBI (+120)
Line available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.
Well, the books are onto us. We cashed this prop early in the Angels game yesterday. Trout went 2/5 from the plate with 2 hits, 1 run scored, and an RBI. Shohei Ohtani knocked him in with a home run in the 3rd inning as we predicted. The books moved the line to 2.5 at + money for good reason. He cashed this prop in all 3 games of the Toronto Blue Jays series at home. Now, he gets a Washington Nationals team that will have Patrick Corbin on the mound.
Corbin is an MLB player prop bettor’s dream. His tenure with the Nationals has been a disaster. He had a 6.31 ERA last season, and it’s been more of the same this season. In 9 innings pitched, he’s allowed 8 earned runs and 17 hits. Luckily for us, Mike Trout has destroyed left-handed pitching. Last year, he had an average of .310 and currently has 5 hits in 7 at-bats this season.
Trout may be the only player on the board with this number but it’s still playable for a full unit. He’s cashed this prop in 5 of 9 games and hitting in front of Ohtani and Hunter Renfroe who is 6/21 off Corbin with 2 home runs is a boost.

Jake Cave (PHI) under 0.5 hits (+100)
Line available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.
This is the same prop as total bases for those who don’t know. Finding player prop lines on batters at the bottom lineup with this good of value can be rare. Now for those of you that don’t know who Jake Cave is, he’s the Phillies left fielder and primarily plays when the opposing team has a right-handed starting pitcher on the mound. Well, Cave is going to have his hands full tonight. He’s facing off against NL CY Young winner Sandy Alcantara who has looked sensational in his 1st 2 starts of the season. Alcantara has allowed only 6 hits in 14.2 innings and will be a nightmare for Cave hitting at the bottom of the lineup.
Cave is not having the start to the year that he envisioned. In 16 at-bats, he has 2 hits and has struck out 7 times. Last season in Minnesota, Cave was a mess. Against right-handed pitching he had an average of .198. Cave is also a candidate to be pinch-hit for late in the game if the Marlins decide to go with a lefty. Knowing Alcantara, he’ll go deep into this game and see Cave at least 3 times.
Cave has 4 walks this season but that does not count as a hit or total base. He’s under this line in 5 of 6 starts and now faces off against the best pitcher in all of baseball that is a nightmare for any MLB player prop bettors backing the opposing offense.
