Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write up my plays for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief writeups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!
I pride myself on being as transparent as they come. My MLB record from last season and this season is listed in my bio. On the year, I’ve recorded 199 wins and 143 losses for a gain of +37 units. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite play for Saturday.

Zac Gallen has been a cash cow for us this season. After a lackluster June, Gallen has been on a tear. He’s fresh off a 44-inning scoreless streak which ranked as the 6th-most innings without allowing a run in MLB history. Tonight, his opponent will be the struggling San Diego Padres.
The Padres were looked at as World Series contenders after acquiring Juan Soto and Josh Bell. In the last 30 days, however, they’re hitting .213 against right-handed pitching: 4th-lowest during that span. They’ve failed to score a run on opposing starting right-handed pitchers in the last 13 innings and have been held under this line in 4 of 7 games in September.
Gallen finally allowed over 3 runs in a start in his last outing. It came in the friendliest hitting park in baseball at Coors Field. He’ll have it much easier at home, where he has gone under this line in 11 of 14 starts and in his last 5.
