Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write up my plays for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief writeups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!
I pride myself on being as transparent as they come. My MLB record from last season and this season is listed in my bio. On the year, I’ve recorded 160 wins and 110 losses for a gain of +37.08 units. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite play for Sunday.

Jameson Taillon and the New York Yankees will finish off a 3-game set in Boston against the Red Sox. We get a slight advantage with Taillon on the road, where he hasn’t been his sharpest.
Taillon is going to have his hands full tonight. The Red Sox have their MVP back in Rafael Devers and have made roster moves to improve their lineup and defense. They bought in veterans Tommy Pham and Eric Hosmer to try to bolster a late playoff run as they sit in last place in the AL East. Taillon has a 4.3 road ERA and struggled in his only start in Boston this season. He pitched 5 innings and allowed 6 runs on 7 hits in a losing effort.
Taillon and his 11-2 record does not give the full story on his season. He’s backed by the game’s best offense and gets the 7th-most run support by qualifying pitchers. This game should be a high-scoring affair after 2 lackluster performances by both offenses on Friday and Saturday. I expect balls to fly out tonight on Sunday Night Baseball and for Taillon to have a short leash. Taillon has gone under this line in 15 of his 22 starts and in 7 of 10 on the road.
