Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write up my plays for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief writeups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!
I pride myself on being as transparent as they come. My MLB record from last season and this season is listed in my bio. On the year, I’ve recorded 98 wins and 79 losses for a gain of +13.04units. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite play for Monday.
George Kirby (SEA) under 2.5 earned runs (-115)

The 24-year old is fresh off a dominating start against the Oakland Athletics. Kirby pitched 6 scoreless innings on his way to his second win of the season. Tonight, the Baltimore Orioles will be traveling to the west coast to face off against George Kirby and the Seattle Mariners.
The Orioles have struggled on the road this season. Since May 1, they’re hitting just .225 against right-handed pitching and rank in the bottom 10 in on-base percentage and slugging. They did find success against the Chicago White Sox early in the series but then registered only 1 run in 7 innings against Dylan Cease on Sunday.
Kirby has had back-to-back quality starts in which he allowed fewer than 3 earned runs and has gone under this line in 4 of his last 5. That includes 6 shutout innings against the same Baltimore Orioles squad. I expect another extremely quality start from Kirby tonight.
