Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write my plays up for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief writeups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!
I pride myself on being as transparent as they come. My MLB record from last season is listed in my bio. On the year, I recorded 150 wins and 107 losses for a gain of +31 units. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite play for Friday.
Adam Wainwright (STL) under 5.5 hits allowed (-115)

These hit props have been money for me this season. I personally prefer these props over out and strikeout props. A lot of factors go into these hits allowed props. How deep you believe the pitcher goes into the game, pitches per at bat the opponent sees, walks allowed, etc. Let’s dive into why I believe Adam Wainwright deals effectively tonight against the National League Central rival Pittsburgh Pirates.
Wainwright continues to turn heads and shows no signs of slowing down. In his last 3 starts combined, the 40-year-old has pitched 19 innings and has only allowed 8 hits. That stat in itself is enough to warrant this prop but, the Pirates have struggled mightily versus right-handed pitching. In the month of May they are hitting .214 — 5th worst in the majors. The last 8 right-handed starters to face the Pirates all have allowed fewer than 8 hits. Those 8 starters have combined for a whopping 42.0 innings pitched.
Even against a familiar foe, I believe Wainwright throws absolute darts tonight.
