After loaded slates all weekend long, Monday presents bettors with a slimmed-down 7 games on the docket. I’m looking to build on my HUGE 17-3 run in my last 20 MLB player prop picks! You can also find out our experts’ MLB picks for each of today’s matchups, but for now, let’s dive into my best MLB player prop bet for Monday, July 8.

Logan O’Hoppe (LAA) Over 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBIs (-120)

Line available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.

With every team getting a nod for at least one player to make the MLB All-Star Game, I thought Logan O’Hoppe would surely be the Los Angeles Angels’ representative. Instead, it was southpaw Tyler Anderson, who lowered his ERA to 2.81 after a marvelous start over the weekend. Nonetheless, let’s hope O’Hoppe uses this as motivation in tonight’s game against Texas Rangers RHP Jon Gray — a pitcher O’Hoppe is more than familiar with.

After countless dominant outings in April and June, Gray has been rocked over his last handful of starts. His xERA has risen to 4.65, ranking in the 24th percentile in the league. After getting his ERA as low as 2.12, he’s hit a wall at the moment with a 3.92 ERA. It won’t get any easier tonight against O’Hoppe, who is hitting .455 against RHP to open up the month of July. I’m honing in on O’Hoppe bouncing back after a 0-3 day at the plate yesterday. A meeting with Gray should be just what he needs, as he’s 2-2 off Gray with a home run dating back to last September.
