Bailey Ober flies under the radar due to Pablo Lopez and Joe Ryan being bigger names. But Ober has been impressive, nonetheless. His 0.98 WHIP would hover around the top of the league, but he has only pitched in 15 games this season compared to most starters that have 20 games under their belt. In those 15 games, he’s crushed this prop. He’s stayed under this line in 9 of them including 6 of 9 at home.
The White Sox continue to be an auto fade. Once they sell most of their players at the deadline, you may find us fading them even more. Their low walk rate against RHP mixed with Ober’s BB% which ranks in the top 10% of the league, will make it difficult for the White Sox to cross 3 runs across the plate.
Ober has cruised through his last 5 games. He’s gone through the 6th inning all 5 times and has kept his pitch count below 90 in 3 of those starts. With the outs line being more juiced than I like, taking the under on his earned run prop correlates.
