We welcome in the month of July with a very slim 3-game slate, but with plenty of value on the board.  You can find out our MLB picks for each of today’s games, but for now, let’s dive into my best MLB player prop bets for Monday, July 1st.

CJ Abrams (WSH) Over 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBIs (-120)

Line available at BetMGM Sportsbook at time of publishing.

All eyes will be on the Washington Nationals’ offense on Monday night, but not for CJ Abrams. The Nationals welcome top prospect James Wood to the big leagues, but I’m intrigued by leadoff hitter CJ Abrams facing off against woeful LHP David Peterson. Abrams had a marvelous month of June, hitting .373, scoring 18 runs and stealing 6 bases. His splits against LHP are nowhere near where we’d like them to be, but at a price of -120, facing off against a pitcher he’s seen before less than a month ago and whose xERA and xBA rank in the bottom 5 percent of the league, it’s a prop I’m willing to get my hands on.

Abrams has been a cash cow at home for this prop. He’s recorded at least 2 Hits+Runs+RBIs in 22 of 30 games at home. After a 9-game road trip where Abrams hit a mindboggling .469, I expect him to carry that over into tonight’s matchup. Let’s ride with Abrams as today’s best MLB player prop bet.
