Another week in the 2025 Major League Baseball season comes to a close with a full 15-game slate on Sunday. It is headlined by Giants vs Yankees, Brewers vs Diamondbacks and a Sunday Night Game of the Week showdown between the Cubs and Dodgers. There are more than enough betting opportunities, so let’s try to take advantage.
Below is my mega parlay, and also be sure to check out all of our MLB picks.
Royals -1.5 (+136)
Tigers ML (+102)
Dodgers -1.5 (-125)
MLB parlay odds: +758
Royals -1.5 (+136)
Cleveland’s Ben Lively and Kansas City’s Cole Ragans also faced each other on Opening Day, a game the Guardians won in extra innings. Look for the Royals to get revenge in the rematch. Ragans was decent in his opening start but has been on fire since, with only 2 earned runs 21 strikeouts across 11.0 innings in his last 2 appearances. Lively is no slouch, but he also isn’t any kind of ace; he is a back-of-the-rotation pitcher. Bobby Witt Jr. is 4-for-11 lifetime against the right-hander and Salvador Perez is 3-for-8. Those aren’t huge sample sizes, but they are encouraging numbers for K.C. I can’t see the Royals getting swept; count on them winning – and perhaps winning big.
Tigers ML (+102)
Break up the Tigers! They have won 7 of their last 8 games, including the first 2 games of this series against the Twins. Former #1 overall pick Casey Mize will try to finish off the sweep this afternoon. He is off to a stellar start in 2025, surrendering just 1 earned run on 5 hits through 11.2 innings of work across 2 starts. Now he gets to face a Minnesota squad that has a .204 batting average for the year so far (second worst in the American League). The Twins are countering with Simeon Woods–Richardson, who has given up 6 ERs on 13 hits in 9.2 innings. Spencer Torkelson, Zach McKinstry and Javier Baez should be chomping at the bit with SWR on the opposing mound. Give me the Tigers to stay hot with a convincing victory.
Dodgers -1.5 (-125)
The Dodgers lost to the Cubs 16-0 yesterday; you can’t make this stuff up, folks. It’s a discouraging score, to be sure, but it’s also one from which Los Angeles should bounce back. Teams – especially good ones – are no stranger to getting off the canvas in style following a knockdown 24 hours earlier. The Dodgers’ effort to do so will be led by Tyler Glasnow, who has ace stuff. Chicago is going with a bullpen day, which doesn’t bode well for its chances. After all, league wide the Cubs are tied for the eighth-worst bullpen ERA at 4.53. There is no reason to think that an assortment of relievers will keep a potent L.A. lineup in check. Despite Saturday’s hiccup, the defending World Series champs still boast a respectable 11-5 record, and 8 of their 11 victories have come by multiple runs.
