Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write up my plays for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief writeups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!

I pride myself on being as transparent as they come. My MLB record from last season and this season is listed in my bio. On the year, I’ve recorded 121 wins and 94 losses for a gain of +19 units. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite play for the MLB All-Star Game.

Race to 6 Runs – Neither (-140)

Line available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.

It’s extremely difficult to find a prop that is worth playing in an all-star game but I like what I see tonight so let’s have some for Tuesday’s MLB All-Star Game. Is it fun for the average bettor to bet an under during the All-Star Game? Of course not. But, when a line likes this opens up, we just can’t resist. You can find this on DraftKings at -140 and FanDuel at -144. Let’s dive into my analysis on why both teams could fail to score more than 5 runs.

There have been countless replacements for tonight’s game. We’ve seen the National League lineup shake up a bit and the American League replace two of the best starting pitchers in the game in Justin Verlander and Gerrit Cole. Every pitcher who makes an appearance tonight for both sides will be fresh and looking to showcase their best stuff.

Six of the American League All-Star starting pitchers will be making their first career appearances in the All-Star game. With all of baseball watching, you can’t help but think that all of them want to prove that they belong in the conversation of the best pitchers in the game. On the National League side, Clayton Kershaw and Luis Castillo will be among the few pitchers who have been here before. Young studs Sandy Alcantara and Joe Musgrove have been 2 of the best pitchers in baseball this season and I expect them both to find success in limited action.

Since 2000, we’ve seen 21 All-Star games, and only 8 times has there been a game in which a team surpassed 5 runs. With countless first-time All-Stars on both sides, I’m projecting both sides to struggle to produce runs, especially when most of the starters exit the game for replacements.

As not only a player prop extraordinaire but also an under lover, I can not wait to see these pitchers put on a show.
