Week 16 of the NFL season wraps up with the Los Angeles Chargers taking on the Indianapolis Colts. While the Chargers have won 3 of their last 4, the Colts extended their losing streak to 4 games as the Vikings came back from down 33-0 to win in Week 15. Nick Foles has taken over as the quarterback of the Colts this week, so let’s get into our touchdown scorer best bets for Monday Night Football.

Los Angeles Chargers touchdown scorer best bet: Keenan Allen, Chargers WR (+160)
Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.
Keenan Allen has led the Chargers in targets for 3 consecutive weeks. He has yet to find the end zone in that time, but this primetime matchup appears to be the perfect opportunity to change his luck. After starting the season with an above-average secondary, the Colts’ secondary has been ripped to shreds in the last few weeks. In Week 15, when the Vikings completed the largest comeback in NFL history against the Colts, Kirk Cousins finished with 426 yards and threw 4 touchdowns to his receivers. And in Week 14, Dak Prescott threw 3 touchdowns to his receivers en route to Dallas’ 54-19 win.
Offenses are starting to attack the Colts’ secondary, and with Herbert getting his favorite target in Allen back into the mix, I anticipate another high passing volume game. Allen has seen 37 targets in the last 3 games and has become the face of the Bolts’ offense again, so I think he can find the end zone on Monday night.

Indianapolis Colts touchdown scorer best bet: Deon Jackson, Colts RB (+270)
Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.
The Colts’ offense will look a lot different on Monday night. Jonathan Taylor has been placed on the injured reserve with an ankle injury which has ended his season. It was a tough year for the 3rd-year back out of Wisconsin, who battled injuries throughout the campaign, but his injury will open the door for Zack Moss and Deon Jackson. To be straight to the point, I think Jackson is incredibly undervalued to score. In Week 15, we saw Moss take about two-thirds of the carries while Jackson got the rest. I anticipate a similar workload for Jackson this week as well as a few more targets through the air. Taylor was a threat for a few passes each game, and I think Jackson will replace him in that aspect. If he gets 10+ carries and a few targets, Jackson has a solid chance to score.

Anytime Touchdown Scorer FAQs
What does “anytime touchdown scorer” mean?
Anytime touchdown scorer is a popular player prop bet that NFL bettors can wager on throughout the season. But what is it, and how do you win?
As the name suggests, placing a wager on the anytime touchdown scorer market is when you tip a particular player to score a touchdown during a game. This can be a rushing or receiving touchdown for an offensive player, or you can wager on a team’s defense/special teams to score a touchdown by interception return and fumble return or kickoff and punt returns.
If your player or defense scores a touchdown, you win! The odds will differ from player-to-player depending on the sportsbooks’ calculated probability of that player scoring.
Does anytime touchdown scorer include passing touchdowns?
Not for a quarterback, no. A player must get into the endzone, himself, in order to qualify as an anytime touchdown scorer. If a quarterback throws a touchdown pass, only the player who caught it counts as the scorer. If Joe Burrow throws a touchdown pass to Ja’Marr Chase, wagers placed on Evans as an anytime touchdown scorer will cash. However, those placed on Rodgers as an anytime touchdown scorer will not (unless he also runs for a TD). See below for more on what the anytime touchdown scorer market means for quarterbacks.
What does anytime touchdown scorer mean for a QB?
For a wager on a QB to be an anytime touchdown scorer to cash, he must follow the same rules as a running back, tight end, or receiver. He must get into the end zone himself, either as a runner or a pass-catcher.
In the age of the mobile quarterback, QBs such as Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson and Kyler Murray are often seen rushing in for a touchdown on any given Sunday. And don’t forget the occasional Philly Special, either. QBs can sometimes catch passes for TDs, too.
