Sunday Night Football takes us to Los Angeles as the Chiefs will face off against the Chargers. Kansas City has won 5 of their last 6 games and have scored 27 points or more in 4 of the games. Scoring touchdowns has not been a problem for Patrick Mahomes, but the same cannot be said for Justin Herbert and the Chargers. But against a below-average Kansas City secondary, this could be the game for Los Angeles to turn it around.
With kickoff set for 8:20 pm ET on NBC, it’s time to take a look at the best touchdown scorer bets to be made.

Kansas City Chiefs touchdown scorer best bet: Marquez Valdes-Scantling (+225)
Available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing
Travis Kelce tends to shadow the rest of the Kansas City offense, but Marquez Valdes-Scantling has been an important part of the Chiefs this season. And better yet, he is in line for a big Week 11 with JuJu Smith-Schuster already ruled out. Valdes-Scantling has been primarily used as the deep man for Patrick Mahomes because of his speed, but with Smith-Schuster out, he could be in for a few extra targets. The Chargers defense will focus on not letting Kelce beat them since he is Mahomes’ favorite target, and that could lead to opportunities for Valdes-Scantling.
The Chargers secondary was excellent at the beginning of the season, but they recently lost JC Jackson, and Mahomes has proven the ability to shred any defense this season. If you’re looking for a value bet, this is the one. Valdes-Scantling is +225 at DraftKings right now but only +130 at FanDuel.
Los Angeles Chargers touchdown scorer best bet: Mike Williams (+155)
Available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing
It could be a big week for the Chargers receiving corps as both Keenan Allen and Mike Williams could return. Allen and Williams were full participants in practice on Friday and are likely to play in Sunday Night Football. It’s been a while since either receiver touched the field, as Allen has played in only Week 1 and Week 7 while Williams last appeared in Week 7. I have much more faith in Williams to suit up rather than Allen since Allen seems to never be 100% healthy, but regardless, it should be a dominant return from Williams. He became a favorite of Justin Herbert as he totaled 39 targets from Week 4 to Week 7.
Fortunately for Williams, he will be going up against one of the softest secondaries in football. Kansas City has allowed the 4th most passing completions and the most passing touchdowns in the league. Austin Ekeler will get his touches but expect Williams to play a large role in his return on Sunday.
Anytime Touchdown Scorer FAQs
What does “anytime touchdown scorer” mean?
Anytime touchdown scorer is a popular player prop bet that NFL bettors can wager on throughout the season. But what is it, and how do you win?
As the name suggests, placing a wager on the anytime touchdown scorer market is when you tip a particular player to score a touchdown during a game. This can be a rushing or receiving touchdown for an offensive player, or you can wager on a team’s defense/special teams to score a touchdown by interception return and fumble return or kickoff and punt returns.
If your player or defense scores a touchdown, you win! The odds will differ from player-to-player depending on the sportsbooks’ calculated probability of that player scoring.
Does anytime touchdown scorer include passing touchdowns?
Not for a quarterback, no. A player must get into the endzone, himself, in order to qualify as an anytime touchdown scorer. If a quarterback throws a touchdown pass, only the player who caught it counts as the scorer. If Joe Burrow throws a touchdown pass to Ja’Marr Chase, wagers placed on Evans as an anytime touchdown scorer will cash. However, those placed on Rodgers as an anytime touchdown scorer will not (unless he also runs for a TD). See below for more on what the anytime touchdown scorer market means for quarterbacks.
What does anytime touchdown scorer mean for a QB?
For a wager on a QB to be an anytime touchdown scorer to cash, he must follow the same rules as a running back, tight end, or receiver. He must get into the endzone himself, either as a runner or a pass-catcher.
In the age of the mobile quarterback, QBs such as Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen and Kyler Murray are often seen rushing in for a touchdown on any given Sunday. And don’t forget the occasional Philly Special, either. QBs can sometimes catch passes for TDs, too.
