Four receptions through the first two games is not the ideal start Travis Kelce envisioned after back-to-back Super Bowl titles. His 14% target share ranks 27th amongst tight ends – an area Kelce is unfamiliar with. But the Chiefs are 2-0 with wins over the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals. Sunday Night will be a test for the Chiefs as the Falcons are 3-point underdogs but on short rest after a miraculous win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
With Isiah Pacheco sidelined for at least the next four weeks, the Chiefs backfield has a huge question mark. Rookie Carson Steele seems to be part of the solution, but he fumbled last week. Samaje Perine is best at catching the ball in a negative game script, but he may not be trusted in the run game when the Chiefs find themselves in the redzone. Kelce and Rashee Rice present the best opportunity to find the endzone; at +140, this may be the best price we get on the future Hall-of-Famer all year.

Nothing on the Falcons offensive side of the ball catches my eye. Bijan Robinson is -130 to score on most major books, and it’s a price I’m not willing to lay. Instead, we will take a flyer on Patrick Mahomes to run a touchdown in – something he hasn’t done since the 2022 season.
The Falcons get the opportunity to face another dual-threat quarterback after affairs with Justin Fields and Jalen Hurts through the first two weeks. Mahomes doesn’t offer the same rushing upside that those two do, but he’s shown to extend plays with his legs on countless occasions, and with a running back room that is missing its best piece, taking a stab at Mahomes at +500 is worth a shot.
