Best Green Bay Packers vs New York Giants touchdown scorer bets: Saquon Barkley is Mr. Reliable

Saquon Barkley of the New York Giants

It’s a doubleheader on Monday Night Football with the Titans taking on the Dolphins in south Florida and the Packers traveling to the Meadowlands to face the Giants. I have focused on the game just outside of the Big Apple for my touchdown scorer best bets and have a pick from each team. So, without further ado, let’s get into this primetime matchup featuring Jordan Love and Tommy DeVito and deliver our best Packers vs Giants touchdown scorer picks. Green Bay Packers touchdown scorer best bet: Jayden Reed (+170)

The Packers’ offense is severely banged up. Heading into the weekend, Aaron Jones, AJ Dillon, Christian Watson and Jayden Reed were all on the injury report. However, it appears that only Jones and Watson are in danger of missing Monday night’s game — which leaves a lot of workload for Dillon and Reed. That means Reed will more than likely share the WR1 responsibilities with Romeo Doubs, but lately, Jordan Love has been looking toward Reed on a more frequent basis. The rookie has at least 5 targets in each of the last 4 games to go along with 180 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns in that time. Reed’s speed has caught Love’s eye, and the deep balls are now going to Reed instead of Doubs. Fortunately for the Michigan State alum, he is facing a Giants secondary that has been ripped to shreds of late. All it takes is one well-thrown deep ball for Reed to find the end zone, so he has excellent value to score 6 points on Monday Night Football.

New York Giants touchdown scorer best bet: Saquon Barkley (+115)

Available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing

It’s not the most glorious payout in the world, but right now I can’t say I have confidence in any Giants player to score besides Saquon Barkley. In fact, neither can the oddsmakers! Barkley is listed as the most likely player to score a touchdown in the game, but after him, the next 5 players are all on the other team. Jalin Hyatt has the next-best odds to score for the Giants at a whopping +425 so it’s pretty obvious that if the Giants score, it will likely be by Barkley. That’s not surprising either considering Tommy DeVito is at quarterback and having Barkley in the backfield is an excellent safety blanket for the rookie. The former Penn State standout will likely get around 15 carries as well as 3 to 5 targets in the air, so when the Giants are in the red zone it should be Barkley’s time to shine. Tommy Cutlets has been a fabulous and inspiring story for the Giants, but I’m still backing Barkley to find the end zone on his own.
