Week 17 of the NFL season concludes with Sunday Night Football between the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings. Both teams are out of the NFC North hunt now that Detroit has clinched it, but they are still alive in the wild-card hunt. With each division rival on life support at 7-8, this is absolutely a must-win situation.
The Pickswise team has been on fire with their touchdown scorer prop picks throughout this 2023 NFL campaign, so let’s keep the momentum going! Here are my best TD scorer bets for Sunday night, and also be sure to check out our full Packers vs Vikings predictions.
Romeo Doubs, WR, GB (+250 at FanDuel)
Doubs has 8 touchdown catches this season and he is coming off one of his best performances: 4 receptions on 5 targets for 79 yards and a score during last week’s victory over Carolina. The Nevada product should be able to maintain momentum this weekend. Minnesota’s defense is right in the middle of the pack against the pass, so this is by no means a bad matchup for Green Bay’s aerial attack. It should also be noted that Chistian Watson is doubtful due to a hamstring injury, so Doubs will be WR1 for the Packers in this game. At +250, he has outstanding value to find the endzone.
Justin Jefferson, WR, MIN (+135 at FanDuel)
Similar to the Doubs play, this price is much more favorable at FanDuel than it is at DraftKings and other some other shops right now, so jump on it fast while you still can. It’s a strong play at anything in plus money – especially at +135. Jefferson has scored only 4 touchdowns this year, but he has played in just 8 contests. The former LSU standout has delivered all 4 of his TDs in his last 6 games, so of late he has been a borderline lock to reach the endzone whenever he takes the field. Jefferson and the Vikings now face a Packers defense that has surrendered 20 passing touchdowns in 2023 and is without suspended cornerback Jaire Alexander. Moreover, free safety Darnell Savage is questionable. With tight end T.J. Hockenson out for the season, Jefferson will be the focal point of Minnesota’s offense to an even greater extent than normal (especially in the red zone). He has every reason to score on Sunday night.
