The Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots will both play on Thursday Night Football for the second week in a row in this Week 13 matchup. The AFC East has become a very close race, and the Patriots need a win in order to keep their playoff hopes alive. The forecast for Foxborough on Thursday night appears to be for classic New England conditions, with the temperature expected to be around freezing and 10-15 mph winds. I’m 5-1 +7.35 units in my last 6 touchdown scorer best bets, including going 2-0 on Sunday Night Football, so let’s keep that going for Thursday Night Football!

Buffalo Bills touchdown scorer best bet: Josh Allen, QB (+200)
Available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing
That’s right, I’m passing on Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis and Dawson Knox for the quarterback himself. Josh Allen has always been a quarterback who can run, but he’s been taking off a lot more since his UCL injury. In Buffalo’s win over the Lions on Thanksgiving, Allen ran 10 times for 78 yards and a touchdown. He has now run for 75+ yards in 3 of his last 4 games, including scoring 3 times. The Lions and Vikings are among the opponents the Bills faced in their last 4 games, and they have a common weakness, ranking in the bottom 5 of rushing yards allowed to quarterbacks per game. And what do you know? The Patriots are allowing the 6th-most rushing yards per game to quarterbacks. The Patriots have not faced many mobile quarterbacks this season, as only Lamar Jackson and Justin Fields would fit in that category. But Jackson ran for 107 yards, and Fields ran for 82 yards, so Allen should be able to use his size to take advantage of the New England defense.

New England Patriots touchdown scorer best bet: Rhamondre Stevenson, RB (-115)
Available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing
Rhamondre Stevenson was busy in the Patriots’ Week 12 loss to the Vikings. He had 7 carries for 37 yards and 9 receptions for 76 yards. Stevenson has become a serious threat through the air for New England as he had 4 or fewer receptions in the Patriots’ first 6 games, but at least 6 receptions in 4 of their last 5 games. Stevenson had been alternating offensive series with Damien Harris, but Harris has already been ruled out for this game. That means Stevenson will have a stronger presence in the Patriots’ offense, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see him end up with 15+ carries and 6+ receptions. Buffalo has allowed a touchdown to the opposing team’s primary running back in 3 of their last 4 games. I don’t anticipate the Patriots scoring a ton, but if they do, Stevenson is their best chance.

Anytime Touchdown Scorer FAQs
What does “anytime touchdown scorer” mean?
Anytime touchdown scorer is a popular player prop bet that NFL bettors can wager on throughout the season. But what is it, and how do you win?
As the name suggests, placing a wager on the anytime touchdown scorer market is when you tip a particular player to score a touchdown during a game. This can be a rushing or receiving touchdown for an offensive player, or you can wager on a team’s defense/special teams to score a touchdown by interception return and fumble return or kickoff and punt returns.
If your player or defense scores a touchdown, you win! The odds will differ from player-to-player depending on the sportsbooks’ calculated probability of that player scoring.
Does anytime touchdown scorer include passing touchdowns?
Not for a quarterback, no. A player must get into the endzone, himself, in order to qualify as an anytime touchdown scorer. If a quarterback throws a touchdown pass, only the player who caught it counts as the scorer. If Joe Burrow throws a touchdown pass to Ja’Marr Chase, wagers placed on Evans as an anytime touchdown scorer will cash. However, those placed on Rodgers as an anytime touchdown scorer will not (unless he also runs for a TD). See below for more on what the anytime touchdown scorer market means for quarterbacks.
What does anytime touchdown scorer mean for a QB?
For a wager on a QB to be an anytime touchdown scorer to cash, he must follow the same rules as a running back, tight end, or receiver. He must get into the endzone himself, either as a runner or a pass-catcher.
In the age of the mobile quarterback, QBs such as Murray, Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen are often seen rushing in for a touchdown on any given Sunday. And don’t forget the occasional Philly Special, either. QBs can sometimes catch passes for TDs, too.
