Lamar Jackson and the Ravens travel to Tampa Bay to take on Tom Brady and the Buccaneers for this week’s edition of Thursday Night Football. Following a hot start by the Ravens, they have struggled — going 3-3 in their last 6 games. For the Buccaneers, things couldn’t get much worse. They have lost back-to-back games against the Steelers and Panthers, so they are now 3-4 after Week 7.
With kickoff set for 8:15 pm ET on Amazon Prime Video, it’s time to take a look at the best touchdown scorer bets to be made.

Baltimore Ravens touchdown scorer best bet: Gus Edwards, RB (+160)
It had been 645 days since his last NFL game, and Gus Edwards made the most of his return. The running back ran for 66 yards on 16 careers, along with 2 touchdowns in his first game back on Sunday since tearing his ACL last season. Edwards was a sight for sore eyes as the Ravens’ offense desperately needed him back. It became clear that Edwards would be used when the Ravens were in the red zone and just a few yards away from the goal line, so if Lamar Jackson can lead his team downfield then Edwards should be able to finish the drive with a score.
He will be facing a Buccaneers defense that just allowed D’Onta Foreman to run for 118 yards on 15 carries in Week 7, and with a short week of rest the Tampa Bay defense might not be ready to face a powerful runner like Edwards. I expect several touches in the red zone and back-to-back weeks with a score.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers touchdown scorer best bet: Chris Godwin, WR (+185)
Who would have thought an offense with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Russell Gage catching passes from Tom Brady would struggle to score points? Brady has thrown a whopping 2 touchdown passes in the last 3 weeks, but none to the receivers I mentioned. Both touchdown passes have been to running back Leonard Fournette, which isn’t too surprising because Brady is known for his short passes to his backs. However, if there is a time for the Buccaneers offense to get back on track, it’s against the Ravens. After Week 7, the Baltimore defense ranks 29th in passing yards allowed, 30th in passing completions allowed and 31st in red-zone touchdowns allowed.
For those reasons, I’m backing Chris Godwin to find the endzone on Thursday. Godwin has consistently been one of Brady’s favorite red-zone targets and has seen 25 targets in the last 2 games. So while the Baltimore secondary is focused on Evans, it should allow another 10-plus target game from Godwin. I like Godwin to exploit the Ravens’ defense and score on Thursday Night Football.

Anytime Touchdown Scorer FAQs
What does “anytime touchdown scorer” mean?
Anytime touchdown scorer is a popular player prop bet that NFL bettors can wager on throughout the season. But what is it, and how do you win?
As the name suggests, placing a wager on the anytime touchdown scorer market is when you tip a particular player to score a touchdown during a game. This can be a rushing or receiving touchdown for an offensive player, or you can wager on a team’s defense/special teams to score a touchdown by interception return and fumble return or kickoff and punt returns.
If your player or defense scores a touchdown, you win! The odds will differ from player-to-player depending on the sportsbooks’ calculated probability of that player scoring.
Does anytime touchdown scorer include passing touchdowns?
Not for a quarterback, no. A player must get into the endzone, himself, in order to qualify as an anytime touchdown scorer. If a quarterback throws a touchdown pass, only the player who caught it counts as the scorer. If Joe Burrow throws a touchdown pass to Ja’Marr Chase, wagers placed on Evans as an anytime touchdown scorer will cash. However, those placed on Rodgers as an anytime touchdown scorer will not (unless he also runs for a TD). See below for more on what the anytime touchdown scorer market means for quarterbacks.
What does anytime touchdown scorer mean for a QB?
For a wager on a QB to be an anytime touchdown scorer to cash, he must follow the same rules as a running back, tight end, or receiver. He must get into the end zone himself, either as a runner or a pass-catcher.
In the age of the mobile quarterback, QBs such as Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen and Kyler Murray are often seen rushing in for a touchdown on any given Sunday. And don’t forget the occasional Philly Special, either. QBs can sometimes catch passes for TDs, too.
