I’ve had some success with my TD scorer picks this season, including wins at +200, +220, +240 (twice), +250, +255 and +550, so let’s aim for more of the same this week on Sunday Night Football!
The matchup between the Ravens and Chargers means different things to each team, with the Ravens looking to stay ahead in the AFC North, while the Chargers are trying to escape from the basement in the AFC and looking to restore some pride after back-to-back losses. Both teams have tossed away multiple likely victories late in games this season, so any TD scorer picks we make will have a chance to cash right until the end of the game!
Be sure to also check out our other NFL Week 12 picks, but now let’s take a look at my favorite anytime touchdown scorer picks for the Ravens vs Chargers game.
Isaiah Likely, TE, BAL (+330 at DraftKings)
Just because you get to replace Mark Andrews in the Baltimore starting lineup doesn’t mean you get his talent, volume or success rate, but in Isaiah Likely, the Ravens do have a solid alternative for one of their biggest offensive stars. With tight end Andrews suffering a serious ankle injury in the win over the Bengals last week, it is, well, likely that the second season TE will be asked to play a much bigger role than he has to this point.
The Ravens may have preferred to spread Andrews’ usual targets around their WR corps, but Odell Beckham Jr., Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman have all been dealing with injuries this week and may not be healthy enough to play a full amount of snaps. Flowers seems to be the most healthy and could be the best WR TD scorer option for Baltimore against the Chargers. Even so, at +330 odds, Likely is well worth a wager to add to the 3 touchdowns he had in his rookie season now he has a chance to see more targets from Lamar Jackson.
Keenan Allen, WR, LAC (+138 at Caesars)
The Chargers have lost 5 games by 3 or fewer points this season but their offense has not really been the problem given they rank 11th in the NFL in yards per game and 8th in points per game. Veteran WR Keenan Allen remains the star of the show by a wide margin and he looks the best TD scorer bet for his team. Allen has already reached the 1,000 receiving yard mark for the year with 1,011 on 83 receptions and 7 touchdowns in his 10 games.
Allen has dominated the attention of QB Justin Herbert in the last 2 games, with 11 receptions from 14 targets for 175 yards against the Lions, and 10 catches from 16 targets against the Packers for 116 yards last week. He scored 3 total touchdowns in those games and has to be a solid option at +138 odds with Caesars to add another against Baltimore on Sunday night.
