Lock in Prop Holliday’s best Falcons vs Eagles player prop bet for MNF, featuring Dallas Goedert

Falcons vs Eagles anytime touchdown scorer pick: Dallas Goedert (+240)

With 2023 2nd-team All-Pro wide receiver AJ Brown being sidelined for this NFC showdown, who on the Eagles will step up? DeVonta Smith has proven to be one of the best #2 wide receivers in the league, Saquon Barkley erupted for three touchdowns last Friday in Brazil and newly acquired Jahan Dotson played 32 snaps without reeling in a pass in his debut for his new squad. It’s safe to assume those 3 play a pivotal role, but I’m going with 7-year pro tight end Dallas Goedert to break out in this matchup.

Goedert reeled in 4 of his 5 targets in Week 1 — a 17% target share that is expected to increase with Brown out. He is a red-zone threat at 6″5″ who is stepping into a more significant role on MNF, and given the Eagles have an implied team total of 26.5, Goedert headlines our best touchdown scorer bet for Falcons vs Eagles at +240 odds.

Falcons vs Eagles anytime touchdown scorer pick: Kyle Pitts (+260)

Line available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing

Kyle Pitts, the hometown kid, will look to find the end zone in back-to-back weeks to open up the season. Kirk Cousins and Pitts connected on a 12-yard touchdown as he was wide open after Cousins escaped the pocket against the daunting Pittsburgh Steelers defense. It’ll get much easier against an Eagles linebacker group and secondary that gave up multiple big plays in Week 1. Nakobe Dean got lost on countless plays and could find himself on Pitts. Meanwhile, newcomer Zack Baun was all over the field and could be one of the sneakier surprise signings in free agency, but will have trouble keeping up with Pitts’ 4.4 40-yard dash.

FanDuel Sportsbook is giving bettors the best price of +260, while the rest of the market is coming in at between +200 and +210. If Cousins’ achillies can hold up, which didn’t look great in Week 1, Pitts at +260 could be a steal given how much Cousins has utilized tight ends throughout his career with both Washington and Minnesota.
