Both of these teams are in desperate need of a victory, and it remains to be seen how well these offenses can play on Sunday. The Rams offense has been mostly inert for the entirety of the season, with the issues starting on the offensive line. On the other side, the Arizona Cardinals have had to deal with injuries, in addition to inconsistent play from their quarterback, which has led to a number of second-half mishaps this season. With both teams struggling, this could be a de-facto elimination game in the NFC playoff picture.

Our NFL expert has picks, predictions and best bets for this matchup, so let’s break it all down.

NFL Week 10 Arizona Cardinals vs Los Angeles Rams prediction

The defending Super Bowl champions are in dire straights after blowing a late 4th quarter lead last week in a devastating loss to the Buccaneers. It remains to be seen if Matthew Stafford will play, but that hasn’t mattered much this season, as the Rams offense has been awful, even with Stafford at the controls. On the other side, Arizona appears to be on the brink of complete internal collapse, and the body language on the Cardinals’ sideline the past couple of weeks has been awful. This should be a fascinating contest, so let’s get into our expert’s predictions.

Arizona Cardinals vs Los Angeles Rams expert picks

We’ve got 2 standout NFL picks for this week’s clash between the Cardinals vs Rams.

Arizona Cardinals vs Los Angeles Rams point spread pick: Rams -2.5 (-110)

The Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals both need this game like blood, and they both have quarterbacks dealing with injuries. Kyler Murray and Matthew Stafford are questionable to play, but the market moved from Rams -1.5 to Rams -3 on Friday, which seems to indicate that sportsbooks are expecting Stafford to play. Stafford got in a limited practice on Friday and Sean McVay said he was “making good progress” through the concussion protocol. Assuming Stafford plays, I like the Rams here. As ugly as it’s been for them recently, the Cardinals are even more dysfunctional right now.

The Cardinals are really banged up on their offensive line, and we’ve seen Aaron Donald dominate games in this matchup in recent years. Los Angeles is a mess on offense, but their defense quietly has still been playing quite well. Last week they held Tom Brady and the Bucs to just 16 points, and when the Rams and Cardinals played earlier this season the Cards only put up 12. Los Angeles has left a lot to be desired on offense, but Stafford had one of his best statistical games during the first meeting between these teams. He averaged 10 yards per attempt while taking just one sack in that one. Back the home team here.

Arizona Cardinals vs Los Angeles Rams Over/Under totals pick: Under 40 (-110)

There’s a lot of uncertainty with this total with both quarterbacks banged up. In any case, I can only consider the under. This is a division rivalry game between two teams that know each other well, and it’s a matchup both sides are desperate to win. In that first meeting in Arizona, Murray averaged only 5.4 yards per attempt while they got nothing going on the ground. Sean McVay has always been able to slow down Kliff Kingsbury’s offense, and I don’t see any reason to expect any different here.

Jalen Ramsey will help neutralize DeAndre Hopkins, and Arizona’s offense doesn’t really have much else going for it. The Rams’ offense on the other hand has been as anemic as they come, so don’t expect them to send this one over by themselves. I’m taking the under, but you might be able to get a little bit better number closer to kickoff if guys like Stafford and Murray officially get ruled in.
