Paul George to score 20+ points (+200)
Paul George has had enough. After Philadelphia’s 142-110 loss to Chicago the other day, George raised his voice with reporters after the game, criticizing his teammates for their lack of focus, particularly on the defensive end. Well, now is the time for George to put his money where his mouth is. He’s played really well in the 2 meetings against the Knicks this season, scoring 29 and 26 points. Believe it or not, those were his 4th and 5th-highest point outputs of the entire season, which just shows how bad of a fit he has been with this 76ers team.
Regardless of those struggles, I still feel like George can put up numbers on given nights and Wednesday’s matchup at MSG is a perfect opportunity for him to silence his doubters. With Joel Embiid likely missing yet another game, PG is now the 2nd scoring option behind Tyrese Maxey. He had 19 in the blowout loss to Chicago in just 30 minutes, and if he plays 35+ here, I’m confident he can score at least 20. He’s reached that mark in 7 of his last 10 games against New York, while averaging 24 points per game. This looks a good starting point for our 76ers vs Knicks Same Game Parlay.
Mikal Bridges 2+ made threes (-170)
With the uncertainty of Karl-Anthony Towns’ status for Wednesday’s game, the Knicks might have to turn to Mikal Bridges to be their 2nd scoring option behind Jalen Brunson — and that’s not a bad thing at all. Bridges is a proven scorer in this league, as he has put up consistent numbers from three-point land over the past 2 months, averaging 3 and 2.5 threes per game in December and January. His numbers have gone slightly down in February, but that’s mainly due to KAT expanding his role on offense and Bridges getting fewer touches and shot opportunities.
With Towns potentially missing this game, Bridges could be in line to get his 15-17 shots, which automatically raises his chances of knocking down a pair of threes. He’s done so in back-to-back games against Boston and Cleveland, despite playing under 30 minutes in each game. Philadelphia is one of the worst perimeter defenses in the NBA, allowing opponents to shoot 40.2% from downtown in their last 3 games. Only 2 teams in the NBA have been worse this season when it comes to perimeter defense, so I’m more than happy to take a chance on Bridges here to hopefully land our 76ers vs Knicks Same Game Parlay.
