Jaylen Brown 2+ made threes (-192)

Jaylen Brown had a relatively quiet night against the Portland Trail Blazers yesterday as the duo of Payton Pritchard and Derrick White went off. Despite no threes made in that game, I still have confidence in Brown having a solid output tonight against the lowly 76ers. He’s cleared this line 9 times in 15 games overall and in the last 3 meetings with Philadelphia. With so many threats from the perimeter on this team, it’s really hard for opponents to single out an individual player they can contain when going up against Boston.

Philadelphia’s perimeter defense has been bad all year as they enter this game in 26th place when it comes to opponent three-point percentage, allowing 36.9% of threes to go in. We just saw the Timberwolves knock down 18 threes against them, which isn’t encouraging at all. The last time these 2 teams met, Boston went off for 24 threes on 54 attempts, so I’m confident Brown can make a pair to get our 76ers vs Celtics Same Game Parlay off to a hot start.

Quentin Grimes to score 20+ points (+136)

This is the time for Quentin Grimes to shine. With Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid both out and Paul George not being at his best, Grimes has the opportunity to showcase his talents and possibly get signed to a contract this offseason when his Philly deal expires. He’s shown glimpses of what teams could expect from him in recent games. In the latest 76ers defeat to Minnesota, he went off for 30 points on just 18 field-goal attempts, and prior to that he had a 44-point output in the win over Golden State.

With opposing teams not really having a scouting report on him, Grimes can catch a few teams sleeping in the coming weeks, assuming he keeps his position in the starting lineup while Maxey is out. He’s now the main ball handler for this 76ers team, playing alongside Kelly Oubre Jr. in the backcourt. After playing last night against the Blazers, there could be some tired legs out there for the Celtics, so let’s hope Grimes can make the most out of his opportunity here.

Paul George to record 6+ rebounds (-290)

He might not have the scoring touch he once had, but Paul George still has a 6’8″ frame which he can use to help his team win. One of his assets is certainly in the rebounding department, which that has plagued this Sixers team all season long. PG is averaging 5.3 rebounds per game in his last 9 outings. He has cleared this line in 3 straight games overall and I like his chances to continue that solid run against a Boston team that ranks only 17th in opponent rebounds per game.

The Celtics launch an NBA-high 48.1 threes per game, so if that shot isn’t falling like it did last night against the Blazers, there should be a lot of extra rebounds to grab in this game. With no Joel Embiid and only Andre Drummond to rely on to grab loose basketball, I’m confident head coach Nick Nurse will assign George extra duties on the defensive end here.
