The 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics continues with a whole host of great action, and we’ve got a couple of great bets for you in the women’s skiathlon and women’s hockey. Let’s dive in.

2022 Winter Olympics Women’s Skiathlon best bet

Jesse Diggins won the USA’s first-ever Olympic gold medal in women’s cross-country skiing as a member of the team sprint at Pyeongchang and the Minnesotan skier will be eyeing another when she lines up for the first medal event of the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing — the women’s skiathlon.

This race, which starts at 2:45 am ET, sees the competitors ski 7.5km in the classic style — the skis never leaving the snow — followed by 7.5km freestyle. Diggins arrives in good form having won two races at the Tour de Ski meeting over the new year and she finished in the top seven in every cross-country discipline at the 2018 Olympics.

However the battle for gold looks to be between Norway’s Therese Johaug and Swede Frida Karlsson. Johaug is the big favorite but after a delayed arrival in China she could be at a disadvantage and Karlsson looks the better value bet at +350, having had a week to acclimatize to the altitude at Zhangjiakou.

2022 Winter Olympics Women’s Hockey best bet

The USA women’s hockey team got off to an impressive start with a 5-2 win over Finland. The defending Olympic champions looked value for a bigger win having completely outplayed the three-time bronze-medalist Finns, however the win came at a price as forward Brianna Decker suffered a nasty leg injury and will take no further part in the Games.

There’s no let-up for Finland who takes on Canada at 11:10 pm ET. The Canadian women were 12-1 winners against Switzerland in the opener and Canada should be able to cover a 3.5 puck line against the Finns.
