2022 Winter Olympics Figure Skating best bets

Figure skating begins with a relatively recent addition to the Olympic schedule — the team event. The three-day competition starts with the men’s short program, rhythm dance and pairs short program from 8:55 pm ET on Thursday evening, and that could be the first appearance of Team USA star Nathan Chen.

Chen is the man to beat in the race for the men’s 2022 figure skating gold medal, and is -225 odds to win it. Japan’s Yuzuru Tanyu is the only performer that could stand in his way according to the betting, and is +225 to win gold with no other competitor shorter odds than +1400. However, Chen has proven to be a superstar in figure skating and should have too much quality to be beaten.

As for the figure skating team event, Russia is the red-hot -600 favorite with Team USA the only team likely to stand in their way — available at +600 as second-favorite.
