It’s that time of year once again, as the two teams who will play for the grandest prize in all of football, as the AFC Champion New England Patriots will square off with the NFC Champion Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl 53 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. That being said here is a look at the Super Bowl Injury list.

Running Backs, Will Todd Gurley be slowed?

The running back position in Los Angeles has seen its fair share of injuries, behind starter Todd Gurley who has been in and out of the line-up in the playoffs is still being hampered by a leg injury. However that isn’t the only back with an injury for the Rams as Malcolm Brown has been out most of the season and will not be in uniform for the Rams on February 4th. C.J. Anderson along with Gurley should be just fine without Brown. Todd Gurley was underused in the Rams NFC Championship win against the Saints, and many were puzzled as to why. He finished with four carries for 10 yards and a touchdown, but why was he held out. Is their still an issue with his leg?

Rams Receivers are just fine without Kupp

Not having Cooper Kupp may have been a major issue when his injury first occurred, but the Rams have gotten to the big game without him in the line-up and he will not be back for the Super Bowl, but the Rams should be just fine. With Brandin Cooks, Robert Woods and Josh Reynolds should be able to handle the job nicely. Kupp was a major piece in this offense prior to his season-ending knee injury, but the Rams have handle the job nicely without him.

Dominique Easley – Los Angeles Rams

Easley was lost in October to a Knee injury and will not be back in the line-up for Super Bowl 53. No Easley, no problem not when you have Aaron Donald and Ndamukong Suh on their defensive front. Easley a former New England Patriot could still get himself a ring if the Rams can beat his former team.

Other Rams Injuries

Starting placekicker Greg Zuerlein has appeared on the injury report. The Rams Kicker made a 57-yard field goal to win the NFC Championship in overtime, and now could be hampered by a foot injury. Zuerlein was seen with a walking boot on his left foot at practice. This could be something to keep an eye on. He has been a key part for this Rams team that is looking to get the job done against the Patriots in Super Bowl 53.

Deatrich Wise Jr – New England Patriots

Wide should be back in the line-up come February 3rd when the Patriots square-off with the Rams in the Super Bowl. He has been cleared to participate and it looks like he is back practicing. The second year defensive end had 30 tackles and four and a half sacks this season as he played in all 16 games in the regular season before suffering an injury during practice prior to the divisional round. He will add to a solid rush defense that New England has seemed to bring out of no where. The Patriots were able to shutdown the Kansas City rushing in the AFC Championship, and Wise could be something the Patriots were missing. It was an ankle injury that was keeping Wise out.

No Josh Gordon, No Problem

Josh Gordon remains suspended and will not be available for the Super Bowl. New England shouldn’t be worried, with the high level their other receivers are playing. Julian Edelman has been outstanding as the Patriots have reached their third straight Super Bowl. Tom Brady has plenty of weapons with Edelman, James White out of the backfield along with Chris Hogan and Phillip Dorsett. Don’t forget Rob Gronkowski. These are two most healthy teams, entering the Super Bowl. It should be a good one.
