With the NFL off-season well underway it’s time to start looking at the win predictions for each team for next year. Let’s breakdown each of the NFL West teams, what their win total is set at, and if they will go above or below that number. Here are the Win Totals for the NFC West Division.
Los Angeles Rams 10.5
Last year the Los Angeles finished with a 13-3 record in the regular season and lost in the Super Bowl but Vegas seems to think there will at least be some regression setting the win total at 10.5 The Rams were ultra-aggressive last season signing players to big short term contracts but some of those guys are gone and they were a lot quieter this year. I also don’t really see a chance that Jared Goff gets much better than last year and the best chance is he might be a little worse. This team can still have a good year, but the under 10.5 is the play here.
Seattle Seahawks 8.5
Last season the finished with a 10-6 record and their win total is currently set at 8.5. Since Russell Wilson has come into the league the Seahawks have finished with under ten wins one time, and that season he finished with nine. There is no way that this is the first year Wilson finishes with under nine wins. Even with some questions on the defensive side, this will be another big year for Wilson and the rest of the offense. Back up the Brinks truck on this one, and take the over with a ton of confidence.
San Francisco 49ers 8
The San Francisco 49ers are a really hard team to predict because it’s unclear who exactly is going to be the quarterback for this team. Jimmy Garoppolo is recovering from ACL surgery and the hope is that he will be back for the regular season although it’s still unclear if that will happen.
Even if he is back I think it’s a slight lean to the under because of a tough division. It’s going to be tough to beat the Seahawks and the Rams. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them land on this number, but it’s still a slight lean to the under.
Arizona Cardinals 5
Another team that has questions at quarterback is the Arizona Cardinals and I would hold on to betting them until it’s clear who will be their starting quarterback. With the now addition of Kyler Murray not only do I think it will add some spark to the franchise, I think it will add a lot of wins to next season.
There is a good chance he would have a season like Baker Mayfield had with the Browns and this team could finish with seven or eight wins. If Murray is under center I think the play has to be with the over.
