The NFL makes its way into the 14th week of the season, as the playoff push heats up, teams chances are beginning to thin, as the push has hit many teams throughout the league with injuries. Here is the officially NFL Injury report for Week 14.
Landon Collins – Giants
Starting Safety Landon Collins will miss the Giants week 14 game against the Washington Redskins. Collins injured his shoulder in the Giants win over the Bears on Sunday and could miss more than this coming weekends game. Collins has started all 12 games this season, after missing much of the end of last season on injured reserve with a broken forearm. Collins has been a big part of the Giants defense this season with 96 tackles.
AJ Green – Bengals
AJ Green has been in and out of the line-up for much of the season with multiple ailments with his leg, but now he will be out for good. Green’s season is over as he reinjured the toe that kept him out three games and will most likely be shut down for the rest of the season, as the Bengals are no longer in the running for the playoffs this season. It is a major blow to the Bengals offense not to mention the morale of the team itself.
Greg Olsen – Panthers
Things have just been tough for the Panthers tight end as Olsen suffered a ruptured plantar fascia in his right foot, an injury that already caused him to miss three games this season, not to mention the nine games he missed last season. Olsen’s season looks to be over, and the Panthers will have to look to rookie Ian Thomas, who had five catches for 46 yards on Sunday.
Chris Harris Jr – Broncos
Three-time pro bowler Chris Harris Jr suffered a fractured right fibula in the Broncos win versus the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. He hopes to return if the Broncos somehow find their way into the playoffs, but they have a very small window of opportunity, with the Chiefs and Chargers both playing at a high level right now. Rookie Isaac Yindom will look to fill the void in Harris’s absence.
Matt Breida – 49ers
Breida’s ankle injury woes continue as the same ankle he has already been dealing with for most of the season, is once again keeping him from playing at a high level. He tweaked his ankle in warm-ups on Sunday and was replaced during the game by rookie back Jeff Wilson Jr, and they will most likely look for him for a bulk of the carriers in week 14.
Matthew Stafford – Lions
Stafford suffered an undisclosed injury in the Lions loss to the Rams on Sunday and went for treatment following the game, but nothing seems to be keeping him from playing this Sunday against the Cardinals in Arizona. Definitely, something to keep an eye on though.
Trae Waynes – Vikings
Waynes entered concussion protocol during the second quarter and was out for the rest of the Vikings loss to the Patriots. This is second time Waynes has suffered a concussion this season, and which he missed the Vikings game against the Eagles in week five. The Vikings could be in trouble at the Corner position this week as Xavier Rhodes is also dealing with a hamstring injury. Waynes at this point is still a question mark for the Vikings game against Seattle.
James Conner – Steelers
Conner suffered a lower leg contusion, and it looks like the Steelers will have to turn to rookie Jaylen Samuels for his first career start when the Steelers square off with the Raiders in Oakland in week 13.
