There are a number of key players in the NFL that are injured as they enter week 11. Here is a look at some key players who are injured and how it impacts them on our NFL Injury Report list.
Joe Flacco (Ravens)
Flacco continues to deal with a hip injury that has limited him most of the week of practice and is currently listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Bengals. He will start Sunday if he is healthy enough, he is currently receiving treatment for the injury, but the Ravens (4-5) may have to look to Rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson if Flacco can’t go on Sunday.
Josh Allen (Bills)
Bills Rookie Josh Allen hasn’t played since October 14th against the Houston Texans, and the Bills are pretty limited at the quarterback position, as they have recently cut Nathan Peterman, and Derek Anderson is also dealing with an injury. Allen remains questionable with an elbow injury, and with a bye this week he should be back for the Bills on November 25th against the Jaguars.
Cam Newton (Panthers)
Newton has been hampered with an injury to his throwing shoulder during practice this week, but expect him to be ready come Sunday when they face the (3-6) Lions in Detroit. The Panthers will need to protect Newton as the Steelers were able to pressure Newton the whole game, in Pittsburgh last Thursday night.
A.J. Green (Bengals)
Green looks like he could miss this Sunday’s game against Baltimore as he remains out with a Toe injury that may keep him out for Cincinnati until December. Green has already missed a couple weeks, and it looks like he will be out a while.
Sean Lee (Cowboys)
Lee continues to nurse a hamstring injury and it looks like he could miss much of the rest of the season, as he suffered the injury in the Cowboys Monday Night loss to the Titans last week. Cowboys will need to find someone to man the middle of the defense.
Marvin Jones Jr (Lions)
Many feared that Marvin Jones Jr may have been lost for good, in the Lions trip to Chicago last Sunday as it looked like a serious knee injury that knocked the receiver out of a 34-22 loss to the Bears. Luckily for Jones and the Lions, it has been diagnosed as a bone bruise, and Jones is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game with the Panthers. Since trading Golden Tate, the Lions need Jones in the line-up as the Lions have struggled to a 3-6 record this season.
Cooper Kupp (Rams)
An already tough season for second-year receiver Cooper Kupp was made even worse on Sunday, as Kupp tore his ACL. The Rams have a huge game with the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night, and with Kupp out for the year, the Rams will need to have other receivers step up in Kupp’s absence.
Stefon Diggs (Vikings)
Diggs has missed a couple weeks with a rib injury. Coming off a bye, the Vikings travel to Chicago, where Diggs has already said he will play on Sunday.
Rob Gronkowski (Patriots)
Gronk has been in an out of practice for that last three weeks and is still listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Jets with an ankle/back injuries. Gronkowski was able to practice today, and we may yet see him on Sunday. He hasn’t played since October 29th a win on the road in Buffalo.
Dez Bryant (Saints)
Bryant’s season ended before it started late last week, as he blew his Achilles Tendon in practice, and will be out for the rest of the season. After signing as a free agent early last week, Bryant has and will miss the whole 2018 season. Bryant will be out at least 8 months.
Sam Darnold (Jets)
Jets rookie Sam Darnold could miss a second straight game, with a strained ankle, as the Jets host the Patriots on Sunday, and could be in trouble at the quarterback spot, with Darnold likely out.
James Conner (Steelers)
Le’Veon Bell did not report on Tuesday, and will not play this season, so the Steelers will stick with James Conner. Conner, however, may be limited Sunday, as he is dealing with a concussion and is questionable for Sunday.
