The NBA enters the ninth week of the season, here is the NBA injury report for this week of the season:

Jeremy Lin – Hawks

Lin is dealing with an injury to his back and will miss the Hawks Wednesday night game against the Dallas Mavericks. He is officially listed as day-to-day, but the Hawks will be without their backup point guard, for possibly more than one game. Lin has played in 23 games this season and is averaging 11.0 points per game this season. In his last 10 games, he has averaged 12.4 points per game. It will be up to rookie Trae Young to lead the young Hawks as they have been dealing with a vast amount of injuries this season. Lin missed the Hawks last game against Denver, and his return may not come for a while.

Al Horford – Celtics

Horford continues to deal with an injury to his knee and is listed as questionable for Boston’s game against Washington on Wednesday. He missed the Celtics win over New Orleans on Monday, and they will have to go at it once again without Horford most likely against the Wizards.

Tristan Thompson – Cavaliers

Thompson will miss 2-4 weeks with an injured foot. It has been diagnosed as a sprained left foot, and the Cavs will be without another key piece of what remains from the Cavs championship team from three season’s ago. X-rays were negative but, the Cavaliers will have to turn elsewhere inside the post for the next few weeks. Cleveland’s bigs have been devastated by injuries this season. They recently traded for John Henson and Matt Dellavedova, but lost Sam Dekker and George Hill in the trade, Cleveland is just trying to keep the team afloat but the struggling Cavs look lost right now.

Brandon Knight – Rockets

Brandon Knight who has been out this season with a knee injury is expected to make his Rockets Debut within a week, and this could be a major contributor for Houston as they have struggled to an 11-14 start this season and will need some big numbers from Knight when he is fully available. He hasn’t played since last season, so expect him to be a little shaky at first.

Victor Oladipo – Pacers

Oladipo participated in four-on-four drills today but should be expected to be out for the Pacers next game, as he is nursing a knee injury listed on our NBA Injury list. Oladipo has been out since November 17th against the Hawks when he played five minutes before suffering the injury. Indiana has missed its leader and all-star, hopefully, by getting back in practice Oladipo is on his way to a return.

Lou Williams – LA Clippers

Williams is questionable to play for the Clippers when they square off against the Raptors, as he is listed day-to-day with a hamstring injury. He managed to play 12 minutes in the Clippers last game, but don’t expect much from him when the Clippers square off with the Raptors.

Rajon Rondo – LA Lakers

Rondo had his hand drained on Sunday, and will at least miss two more games for the Lakers. Rondo hasn’t played since veteran’s day on November 11th and could bring a lot to an already solid Lakers squad that has found its way to a 17-10 record on the season. Lonzo Ball has played the point well in Rondo’s absence. Lakers can hope for Rondo’s return soon.

Mike Conley – Grizzlies

Conley is questionable for the Grizzlies as they prepare to take on the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday. Conley is dealing with soreness in his left hamstring and could be ready to go, but it is still questionable for Memphis. The Grizzlies have looked strong as of late and the emergence of rookie forward/ center Jaren Jackson Jr has high hopes for the future in Memphis.
