Blue Jays vs Yankees Pickswise Expert Predictions

Toronto Blue Jays
Run Line Pick
TOR Blue Jays Win +1.5(-115)

The Yankees will look to bounce back against their AL East rivals after a tough loss on Friday night. The Yankees held a 2-1 lead heading into the ninth, but Devin Williams’ struggles continued as he gave up three runs on two hits without recording a single out. Toronto had lost five in a row before last night’s much-needed win, which they’ll hope is a turning point for them going forward. Now, with a little bit of momentum on their side, the Blue Jays will look to keep things rolling against the left-hander Max Fried this afternoon.

Max Fried will get the start for the Yankees who is 4-0 with a 1.42 ERA. Fried has been fantastic as of late, giving up just two earned runs in 21.1 innings pitched in three starts. For Toronto, they’ll be sending Kevin Gausman to the mound who is 2-2 with a 3.16 ERA. Gausman struggled in his last start against Houston, giving up four earned runs on six hits in just six innings pitched. The Blue Jays have an OPS (.806) against lefties this season, something that Fried needs to be mindful of when taking the mound. At the end of the day, I think the price tag on the Yankees is a little too steep, especially when there are so many question marks surrounding Devin Williams and his ability to close out a game. Neither team are playing their best baseball right now, but I think the Blue Jays can keep this game close, making Toronto run line my best bet of the day.

Blue Jays vs Yankees prediction: Blue Jays +1.5  (-115) available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
