Veteran right-hander Jack Flaherty will take the mound for Detroit in this one. It’s a small sample size, but so far this season, Flaherty has had some issues pitching away from Comerica Park. More specifically, his ERA jumps from 1.59 at home to 4.35 on the road. Detroit’s bullpen has been great this season, but the Tigers have played 3 games over the past 2 days, so their bullpen options could be a bit limited.

The Tigers haven’t given Flaherty much run support so far this season, but that could change in this one. Houston starting pitcher Ronel Blanco owns a 5.01 ERA and 1.37 WHIP through 5 starts on the year. He will go up against a Detroit offense that is hot, as the Tigers have scored 23 runs during their 4-game win streak. Both offenses could be in good spots here, which gives the Over plenty of appeal.
