USC Trojans vs Maryland Terrapins Prediction, Odds and Picks for Tomorrow, 10/19/24

The USC Trojans will looks to rebound Saturday and get their second Big Ten conference win when they travel to Maryland to take on the Terrapins. USC has lost two straight conference games to Minnesota and Penn State. Last weeks 33-30 loss to Penn State came in overtime. Penn State may have been jet lagged going into this game as USC shot out to 17-3 lead in the first half before the Nittany Lions came roaring back. The Trojans have beena  solid team that has not been able to get over the hump. They certainly don’t deserve to be near the bottom of the Big Ten. Maryland had a bad week at home last week against Northwestern. They got beat 37-10 after commiting 4 turnovers. The Terrapins now find themselves at 0-3 in conference with a chance to leapfrog the Trojans in the first ever meeting between these two schools. Maryland needs to have the mindset heading into this game that if Minnesota can go to Southern California and knocks of the Trojans, then we can beat them at home.

It can be hard for a team to travel across the country to take on a conference, but I believe this USC is up for the challenge. This spread we may be receiving a couple extra points due to Maryland also coming off a bye. This game is going to come down to the offense line play of the Terrapins. Maryland’s offensive line has been rough this season and they havoc they allow could be a big reason for the turnovers that Maryland has coughed up this season. Quarterback Billy Edwards Jr. has seen a lot of pressure in his face the past two weeks, being sacked a total of 8 times. USC has played well all season, and despite the .500 record, lost their three combined games by only 13 points. Quarterback Miller Moss and the Trojan receiver should be able to get what they need offensively and the defense should continue to cause the Maryland offense havoc.
